Keeping the Prayer Wheel Turning

Last Tuesday was the first morning of our meeting to walk together. We were blessed with a very pleasant morning where a cool breeze seemed to be constantly blowing around us. We met together at Pat Murphy Park, just north of Lake Hefner. At 7:30, we began walking and soon paused under a pine tree to thank the Lord for His mercy that is given to us every day; blessing and praising His name. We prayed with the scriptures that had been chosen for the day:

pray without ceasing. --1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV

God be merciful to us and bless us,

And cause His face to shine upon us, --Psalm 67:1 NKJV

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,

For in You do I trust;

Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,

For I lift up my soul to You. --Psalm 143:8 NKJV

We entered Bluff Creek Trail and walked a half mile or so to the other end of the paved pathway. As we passed a lovely pond and were approaching the turnaround area, we asked God, in Jesus’ name, to forgive us of our iniquities because we all sin every day, either knowingly or unknowingly, and we want to be cleansed from our guilt. We also prayed the same for our family, for the church, the city, the state and the country- for the citizens and for the leadership. At the turnaround area, we paused and praised Him for His lovingkindness and mercy, remembering

1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (NKJV)

The Holy Spirit prompted us to record Agnes praying by this beautiful pond- it was so nice and cool that morning! (even though later in the day it got so hot!!)

We began walking to the south and as we were walking on the trail and visiting, we came to an area on the path where the trees totally overshadow the path. The tops of the trees actually meet together high over the trail so it is always shaded. The breeze was so nice and the Holy Spirit was present, encouraging and filling us with His joy and peace. We made another video of Agnes just walking and praising the Lord- it was just such a sweet time with the Lord!

As we continued walking, we came to another shady spot and paused to bring special prayer requests before the Lord. First, we prayed again with Psalm 143:8, applying it to ourselves and our families followed by praying the same for all the city of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma's counties and for the United States--

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,

For in You do I trust;

Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,

For I lift up my soul to You. --Psalm 143:8 NKJV

We were thanking God because it is so powerful and precious to pray with all our hearts in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the answer to all our troubles. Believe and do not doubt.

We returned to our starting place- the pine tree- and then, because the breeze continued to be so nice and the Lord gave us strength, we decided to walk the trail a second time.

It is our great desire to continue meeting together for exercising the body and bringing our petitions before the Lord.

We invite everyone to come join us and rejoice in the Lord’s great goodness.

Tuesdays- begins promptly @ 7:30am
